One exercise called Tablya Kriya does what you are
speaking of Sifbear, and I wanted to add it to the
group. It is a way to stretch the frenum without
clipping it...

1st - You place the tongue on the roof of the mouth,
the WHOLE tongue all the way back, then open the jaw
in rhythm with the drawing back of the tongue into the
mouth to stretch the frenum. It is a rhythmical
motion. Then at the total extension, let the tongue be
pulled off of the suction of the mouths roof and pop
down with a 'knock' sound...this is motion one.

2nd - open the mouth and slide the tongue straight out
and down towards the chin as far as possible WHILE
making contact of the frenum ON the front teeth. The
front teeth becomes the 'scissors' here. This is the
second step.

Then Repeat step 1, then 2, and this is ONE Tablya
Kriya. Then repeat this procedure 50 times. We draw it
up and stretch it back, then push it out and grind the
frenum on the front teeth. Do it for 50 times and you
will feel the subtle cutting of the frenum without
having to use scissors, and possible cutting too much
at a time, or getting an infection. This is directly
from the Kriya Yoga lineage...it is safe and
effective.

What do you guys experience?

    Ashwin,
I have heard about this and appreciate your describing it. Rubbing the tongue on the teeth seems a bit rough to me though. I think that a precise snip would be cleaner and possibly safer. some of the actions and the sequence described does sound very helpful though.
I am also curious about the stage 4 kechari which seems very difficult. What happens when the tongue actually enters the nasal holes? I am trying but I think that my tongue is a bit too thick for this. There is basically no information about this from anyone but Yogani and wondering if anyone in the group has any experience there.

    Thank you.
I am comfortably at stage 3 but stage 4 seems very difficult yet I am curious about it.

Thanks for sharing that, Ashwin! GREAT stuff!

The more solid, factual, generous, useful stuff we post, the more that sort of thing will
crowd out the bickering crazy angry postings. The latter unfortunately set the prevalent
tone early on, and there's danger that it will alienate good people and chase them away.

What's needed to make this forum a success is for all reasonable people to prime the
pump, so to speak, with good material. It's a bit of work and a leap of faith (much like the
practices themselves!), but, in the end, more good people will come around and post more
good material. And slowly the tide will turn and we'll have a really wonderful, useful
resource for ourselves.

Let's take back the forum! ;)

    Vasililisa,
My intent on this board is to discuss Yoganis AYP lessons. That is what I am trying to do, not mislead anyone at all. Your first mistake was to come on here and attack us for doing that. Have you read the lessons do you practice them? Do you have anything to contribute? If so please express THAT
