i feel i have got to know some of you, even though i have never met or even posted on this forum[:)]
I am posting as i am craving a spiritual home! somewhere were i can immerse myself in practices and think of nothing but god. Somewhere i can nurture my spiritual tree, And burn away my unwanted desires. does anyone know of such a place. i have been looking at bihar school of yoga in india and i am very attracted to it. has anyone been there? or have any suggestion. thankyou.

One of my friends from Brazil is living in Rishikesh (in a hut near river Ganges) for some years.  There are a lot of schools/asharams in that area.  You can contact him if you like at http://www.tadany.org/contato.jsp

Bihar School of Yoga is very famous.  That's all I know about it.

But my personal favorite is Osho's Commune in Pune: www.osho.com

Cool. I suggest you plan a short trip first and get acquainted with the place where you might wish to stay.

The Osho Multiversity has a very good 90/60 days Work as Meditation Residential Program:

See link:

and

Rishikesh has loads of Schools and it can be confusing if you don't know which path suits you. But if you have a contact there it would be much safer and you can avoid wasting your precious time.

The Osho Multiversity has loads of Teachers in almost every category you can think of under one roof... its like Hogwarts of Harry Potter [:D]
